YNY Strategy for a Sustainable Future

➡️ PUBLIC CONSULTATION NOW OPEN – ENDS MIDNIGHT 10 JUNE

➡️ Want to have a say on shaping a sustainable future for you, your family and our region?

➡️ York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority has launched an eight-week public consultation on its ambitious Strategy for a Sustainable Future

➡️ The goal of the strategy is to "support healthy and thriving communities, transform our economy, and help York and North Yorkshire lead the way to become England's first carbon negative region by 2040"

➡️ Mayor David Skaith wants to hear from organisations, businesses and residents across the region on everything from energy security and sustainable transport to protecting our environment and a greener economy.

➡️ What are the barriers to sustainable technology in your home e.g. solar panels or heat pumps? Do you want to see electricity generated locally and owned by your community? Would you like to see more sustainable ways of farming? Do you run a business and want to reduce your impact on the environment while cutting costs?
